Relationships & Health Education
Our PSHE curriculum is a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to positively manage their lives – both now and in the future. PSHE develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to succeed as individuals, family members and members of society.
As part of this wider curriculum, the children will be learning about Relationships and Health Education. This will be taught in the Summer Term each year, with a progressive approach that builds children’s knowledge and skills year-on-year, in a fun and age appropriate way.
We invite you to look at our ‘Relationship and Health Education Policy’, alongside the ‘Long Term Plan’, both of which are posted below. These documents explain more fully the statutory duties of the school in teaching its PSHE and RSHE curriculum, and detail both the content and progression of the curriculum and the way in which this relates to both relationships and health.
Should you require a paper copy of these documents, these will be available upon request, at the school office.
